Recent Journey...
On the 27th July 2004 I set out on the journey of my life! I flew out of Melbourne at 6am in the morning to Sydney, Sydney to Honolulu, Honolulu to Vancouver, Vancouver to Toronto and finally Toronto to Orlando, Florida, USA! A quick trip to Disney World (The Happiest Place on Earth!!!!) and then it was off to Minneapolis, Minnesota where I was to take up my calling to Team Ministry with Youth Encounter.
Team Ministry...
I was called to be a part of a 7 member intergenerational, relational, itinerant, musical ministry team! My team was called Captive Free-North East and as our name suggests we toured throughout the North East region of the USA. We toured through: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine!
What does it all mean?
My team experience has challenged me in ways that I could never have imagined. God has grown me in faith beyond my imagination and equipped me to do His work in areas where I thought I had no skill. He pushed me until I was exhausted and then still used me to minister to His church.
I have met thousands of people and been able to speak the truth of the Gospel through the stories of my own pain and what Jesus has done to give us the freedom and joy that we enjoy! I have many new friends from all corners of the earth and have experienced how deep, how high, how long and how wide His love truly is, yet know I have not yet felt the full impact of His love for me.
Where to from here?
I feel the weight of what I am called to do as His disciple and will endeavour to serve the Ringwood Knox Parish with the strength He gives me. I pray that God blesses us and empowers us to be unified, caring, growing & spiritually aware of His presence and power.
