January 17, 2006 : The children of our parish and Outer Eastern Lutheran Parish joined together for a "Narnia Day ", organised by Family Ministry Worker, Christie Lange. The day started with a trip to Forest Hill cinemas to see "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". Everyone returned to the Ringwood Church Hall for games and a special "Narnia" lunch. After lunch, we looked at how the story of Aslan and Narnia is similar to Jesus and us. We squeezed in a special craft time too, where the children made a Narnia mask of their favourite character from the movie. The children were invited to wear their masks to a special Narnia worship service on January 29, 2006. [Read the sermon from January 29!]
