Members of the two congregations in our parish participated in the Spirituality and Art Day on Saturday 15th May, together with others from City and Eastern Suburbs congregations. The day was hosted by the Soul Nurture Network.

On Sunday 15 February 2009, Pastor Peter Ghalayini was installed as the second pastor of the Ringwood/Knox Lutheran Parish.

While the Cultural evening gave us an opportunity to celebrate (and explain) our diverse backgrounds, we also celebrated the fact that, despite our diversity, we are one body under Christ.
Pastor Stephen's Farewell Events
At the end of June 2008, Pastor Stephen officially left our Parish to take up a position as Lecturer in Pastoral Theology at the seminary [ALC]. In the preceding weeks a number of farewell events were held for him and his family. Some of these were captured on camera and are presented here...
Dinner with Knox PAs

On Friday 13th June the Schoells bravely hosted a dinner for Pastor Stephen, Coralie, the Knox PAs and our Parish layworker. There was good food, animated conversation, many laughs and also Pastor Stephen performed a ritual of blessing for the Schoell's new leadlight door (designed by Junette).

Pastor Stephen's farewell events...
On the 22 June Pastor Stephen held his last worship service at Knox. This was an evening service followed by fellowship tea. We also celebrated the special milestones of two members - Lloyd's 70th birthday and Christine's 60th birthday.

Pastor Stephen's farewell events...
Pastor Stephen's final worship service was a parish celebration held at Ringwood on 29 June. A highlight of the service was the adult confirmation of two new members (unfortunately no photos were taken of that part of the service). At the conclusion of worship, the district president held a rite to release Pastor Stephen from his Call to this parish. Speeches and presentations followed. Then it was final greetings at the door before we all moved into the hall for lunch and fellowship.

Community Meal
