On Sunday 17th December, 15 members of the Lutheran Sudanese community visited Our Saviour’s Knox. The rhythmic and cheerful presentations of both the men’s and ladies’ choirs provided much colour and joy to the worship service, and gave expression to Christ bringing together people of different nations and cultures.

The visit concluded with a multi-cultural lunch, with the Sudanese women preparing some traditional African food for us to taste, and Our Saviour’s members providing a feast of ‘Aussie’ food for all.

Before farewelling our visitors, the congregation presented them with a food basket and financial gift to be used within the Sudanese community at Christmas. However, the greatest gift for all was the fellowship and relationships built through our time together as brothers and sisters in Christ.
