In nurturing our children in the Christian faith, part of our task is to teach them what we call the ‘Chief Parts’. Partnering with families, Sunday School has been teaching the children the ‘Chief Parts’, focusing on one per semester.
What are the ‘Chief Parts’?
- The Lords Prayer
- The Apostles Creed
- The 10 Commandments
Sunday school is currently focusing on The 10 Commandments using a resource created by Coralie Pietsch, the Middle Level Sunday school Coordinator. This resource consists of a number of prompt cards with explanations for each commandment on the back. This helps the child learn the commandment and what it means.
The resource is available for use in the home and will be produced in the office. Please speak with the Family Ministry Worker, Christie to order a set for your family.
