Get ready to make a joyful noise!

Well, we all know that children particularly, can ‘make a noise’ – but not always ‘joyful’. Now we have a great opportunity to really learn and participate in how to “Make A Joyful Noise”!!!

Make a joyful noise

Three days of activities, music, play and fun will feature Chris Jaensch, a fantastic teacher and musician. He will lead the Children’s Ministry Workshop on Friday evening 18 April from 7.30pm at Ringwood Church Hall and provide a rare opportunity for training in how to best use music in children’s ministry. Anybody can come along to learn – parents, grandparents, god-parents, youth leaders, youth/children’s ministry volunteers, Sunday School teachers and helpers, interested congregation members etc.

Saturday 19 April will be a ‘big day out’ – starting at 10.00am with a festival of stalls, activities and games will be on offer for everyone to interact with each other. Young musicians from local churches are planned to be there to entertain and show their talents and gifts. There will also be a bookstall of intergenerational resources, craft activities for kids and families, a cake stall, plus organized games for all ages, put on by members of Lutheran Youth Victoria (LYV). A terrific opportunity for the youth from our own Ringwood Knox parish to pick up and learn some new activity ideas.

A Sausage Sizzle lunch will be available in the Ringwood church courtyard from 12 noon to 1.15pm for a small charge.

After lunch on Saturday, commencing around 1.30pm in the Ringwood Church space, Chris Jaensch will lead an hour or so of intergenerational worship and singing, followed by an informal time to get to know Chris and his music, maybe even purchase one of his CD’s and have him sign it for you!!

On Sunday morning 20 April commencing at 9.00am, everyone will have the opportunity to join together and “Make A Joyful Noise” in a community worship service at Ringwood and receive the sacraments of the Word and Holy Communion. During the service, Chris will lead the Children’s time in music and talk.

This weekend will be a unique opportunity to join together as parish community and share in inspirational music, activities and fun – kids, bring your mates, school friends, neighbours (next door or across the road), cousins, mums & dads, aunts & uncles, grandpa & grandma, maybe your school teacher even!! A great way to be together as Gods family. SEE YOU THERE!!!
