Sunday: Part 3

A prayer before Worship

Gracious Saviour, make us willing and able to worship you today as our Lord and Saviour. May the message which we hear today make us more appreciative of your grace, stronger in our faith and holier in life, as we live in the coming week.

Make us more willing to serve you, one another and other people. O Lord, keep us humble, faithful and trusting. Amen.

What some other Christians do after church…

Sing (or hum) some of the songs/hymns they enjoyed singing in the worship service.

Discuss or think about:

  • What did God do for you in this worship service?
  • What did you learn about God?
  • What did you learn about yourself?
  • What do you want to try to do this week to respond to what God did for you?
  • How can we help each other to do this?

Display a reminder of the worship/learning throughout the week, e.g. a key Bible verse from the service, a child’s craft, or an illustration of a Bible story.

Pray any prayer requests given during the service and thank God for coming to them in the worship service.
