Around the Table

Family rituals and traditions create opportunity to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ! We engage in regular activities that establish foundations for living and bring meaning in our lives.

May God bless you and your family through this resource of table graces. May his Spirit move amongst you, bringing grace and peace to all who gather around your table! Blessings!

Thank you to all who contributed a little part of their family through sharing a table grace with our community!

Ta, Heavenly Pa, Amen

For health and strength and daily food
we praise Thy name O Lord, Amen.

Come Lord Jesus be our guest
and let this food to us be blessed, Amen.

For what we are about to receive
may the Lord make us truly thankful, Amen.

Lift up hands toward the sanctuary and bless the Lord.
Blessed art thou, O Lord our King of the universe,
who bringest forth bread from the earth. Amen.
(Jewish Grace)

Bless O Lord, this food to our use
and ourselves to thy service
and supply the wants of others for Christ’s sake, Amen.

God is great and God is good
Let us thank him for our food,
We're gonna thank him morning, noon and night
We're gonna thank you Lord, you're outta sight!
Amen, Amen, Amen!

Komm, Herr Jesus
Sei unsere Gast
Und segne was Du uns
Bescherest hast, Amen

Bless us, O Lord, and these gifts which we are about to receive from your bounty. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
(Catholic Grace)

We thank thee dear Lord
For the hand that feeds us
For the heart that loves us
For the wisdom that guides us
And for the grace that forgives us
Bless this food for our bodies
And us to thy service.
Amen.

Bless O Lord, this food to us
and us to thy service
and make us ever mindful of the needs of others.
In Jesus name, Amen.

For milk and fruit
For bread and meat
For all our food,
So good to eat
We thank you God!

Christ our God,
Bless the food and drink of thy servants,
For thou art Holy always, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
(Orthodox grace)

For the tender and skillful hands
That have prepared this meal
and for this food itself
Which feeds our bodies
And gladdens our hearts
We give you thanks, Good Lord, Amen.

Be present at our table Lord
Be here and everywhere adored
These mercies bless and grant that we
May feast in paradise with thee, Amen.
(Sing to Adams Family Theme song)

Lord,
We will give thanks to you,
because of your love.
Amen.

Some have meat
But cannot eat
Some can eat
But have no meat
We have meat and we can eat
So let us thank the Lord, Amen.
(Old Scottish Grace)

Thank you for the world so sweet
Thank you for the food we eat
Thank you for the birds that sing
Thank you God for everything, Amen
