Australian resources

  • Faith at Home: Inspiration for Households are available monthly in PDF format from the Uniting Church in Australia’s Centre for Theology and Ministry.
  • Families Rock is produced weekly by the Outer Eastern Lutheran Church, Croydon. It provides a story for the week (often the Sunday's gospel reading) with devotional thoughts and family activities. (Note: link goes straight to PDF file for the most recent “Families Rock”.)
  • Forming Faith contains valuable background information on the research and findings on the major influences in passing on the faith. Pastor Greg Priebbenow uses lots of examples to illustrate the principles of this important ministry and the keys for nurturing faith.
  • Visit Road to Bethlehem web site - Melbourne
    "The Road to Bethlehem" is a dramatic, interactive presentation of the Christmas story held in December each year. Be taken back in time and walk through the streets of "Bethlehem" as recreated by members of Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in three locations in Australia. Entry to the Road to Bethlehem is free, however, to ensure a great experience for all, numbers for tour groups are regulated by pre-booking free tickets.   • Form Faith on the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America web site brings together a great collection of articles and teaching on how faith is formed and on nurturing faith in home, congregation and community. Make sure you get to the article entitled 101 Faith as well as tips for Reading the Bible at home! There is also practical advice for nurturing faith amongst challenging life transitions.
