In each of our two congregations, lay communion servers take Holy Communion (bread and wine that have consecrated in the Sundays services) into the homes of people who are unable to regularly attend worship. Usually a copy of the sermon preached that day is also taken into the home and the lay communion server is able to lead a home worship service.
This service for the sick and housebound is a special extension of the church's public ministry into the homes of those who need to it, and is carried out under the direct supervision of Pastor, as the person charged with the task of overseeing the ministry of Word and Sacrament among us.
To request home communion, contact the pastor or the parish office (see Contact us for details)
